Task manager not updating xp

controls the display of your taskbar and desktop icons.

Hi everyone I'd be interested to know if anyone has had a brush with a particular problem that's been bugging me the last fortnight.

I'm running XP, SP3, Pentium 4 CPU 2.80Ghz, 100 Gb hard drive, 2Gb memory.

A 7 year old machine which is normally slow but healthy.

Disk 0 is an 80GB Seagate SATA drive with letters D:, G:, and F: associated.

Disk 1 is a 120 GB WD EIDE drive with letters C: and E: associated.

When I plug this device in, the computer acknowledges a "USB mass storage device" is installed, but doesn't assign a drive letter.

When I manage the PC, Device Manager shows the device listed under Disk Drives as a "Fujitsu USB" (which is fine, it is a Fujitsu 2.5" IDE drive).

In reality it is a "process manager." Note:- Now it is a very useful tool to have, but does lack additional functionality for "power users" that is contained in alternative programs like Process Explorer...
